World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims 2024

Join us on Sunday, November 17th, at 3:30 pm at the Alice Birney Joint Use Field for World Day of Remembrance

BikeSD will be hosting a short walk and bike ride prior to the event itself at 3:30, starting from Alice Birney Joint Use Field. We'll compare infrastructure across a couple of different streets and highlight improvements that can make our roads safer for all users!

Hear from our esteemed speakers:

  • Keynote SpeakerChairwoman Nora Vargas

  • Mayor Todd Gloria

  • Councilmember Stephen Whitburn

  • Crash Victims & Loved Ones

  • Community Education Leaders

Our Ask

To get our kids to school safely, we are asking the City of San Diego to:

  • Fix the Fatal 15 most dangerous intersections

  • Remedy the most hazardous corridors near schools

  • Reduce Speed Limits in School Zones

We hope to see you there. In the meantime, we are accepting donations to support the ongoing work of Families for Safe Streets, San Diego. All donations will go directly to FSSSD.
