Better by Bike Scavenger Hunt in Mid-City
This is a semi-virtual event for active transportation users to explore their neighborhood and get to know their community. The purpose of this event is to encourage active transportation use and highlight businesses, art and culture! Using the Scavify app to track points and complete tasks, participants will ride, walk, skate, and roll around Mid-City visiting points of interest, shops, sharing photos, and completing mini challenges.
When is this taking place?
The scavenger hunt is from August 12th-30th. You have 19 days to complete as many of the challenges, tasks and quizzes as possible.
Come to Fair@44 on August 12th between 10am-1pm to pick up a swag item!
How do I participate?
1. Download the scavify app
2. Search for “Better By Bike” (available starting on August 12th)
3. Complete challenges and earn points for prizes!

Sunday, August 4 - 'Safe Streets For All' Family ride starting 11 AM in Bird Park
Join BikeSD, Climate Action Campaign, SD Bicycle Coalition, CirculateSD, and Mid-City CAN for a family ride in support of protected bike lanes on 30th Street — and everywhere!
We’ll start at Bird Park at Morley Field (28th and Upas St) and ride together to Teralta Park in City Heights to call for safe, healthy, and connected communities. Come support the development of a world-class transportation network in San Diego. Enjoy a beautiful ride along two soon-to-be multi-modal corridors, 30th Street through North Park and Howard/Orange Avenue in Mid-City, and celebrate with us at Teralta Park at the end!
Come ride, scoot, skate, and roll along with neighbors who want safe streets for all ages.

Monday, April 22 - BikeSD Mixer Meetup at Flavordome
Come meet up and have a beer with BikeSD's board of directors for a social mixer at Modern Times' FLAVORDOME! We'd love to hear your ideas about biking and bike advocacy in San Diego. And we'll be celebrating our successful event: the Family Ride and People Protected Lanes on 30th Street. Join us for a drink and stay for our full board meeting at 7:00 pm, if you'd like. We love doing outreach with the amazing bike community in our city!

Come voice your support for fully-protected Class IV bike lanes along West Point Loma Blvd. The City of San Diego is presenting this option to the Peninsula Community Planning Board. It's critical that bike and street safety advocates come and support this project to help create an amazing transformation of a neighborhood street and provide a wonderful bike facility for all ages and abilities.
