Bayshore Bikeway Groundbreaking Invitation (click for larger version)

The Bayshore Bikeway is a 24 mile route around the San Diego Bay. The planning for the bikeway began back in 1975 and what is becoming standard practice when it comes to bicycle projects in the region, the lengthy period between planning and implementation will finally come to an end. The Bayshore Bikeway is both scenic and extremely well maintained and mostly used as a recreational route by the region’s cyclists. It also serves as the major route for Bike the Bay, the annual fundraising group ride that benefits the San Diego Bicycle Coalition.

A few cyclists plan on riding down to the groundbreaking ceremony and will leave Adams Avenue Bicycle Shop a little before 9AM. If you happen to go and take photos, do send it in using our very convenient submission form.
