2012 San Diego Cyclocross Weekend: 10/27 – 10/28

This month’s major bicycling event starts this coming weekend and is guaranteed to put a smile on your face.

This weekend the Southern California Cyclocross Prestige Series comes to the San Diego Velodrome for two days of racing and festival this weekend on October 27 and 28th. There are racing categories for everyone from kids and first-timers to elite A racers. There will also be clinics and rental bikes for new riders. Cross virgins race for only $10 and bikes can be borrowed while registering for the event.

Proceeds to benefit BikeSD and the Velo Youth program.

The 2012 Socal Cross: San Diego CX Weekend is part of the 2012-13 SoCalCross Prestige Series which is began in Fairview Park in Costa Mesa on September 30th and kicks off in San Diego this Saturday, October 27th. The upcoming weekend benefits both our organization, BikeSD, and the VeloYouth Program. The VeloYouth program

uses cycling to empower and improve the lives of at risk youth. VeloYouth works with kids from area middle schools, including the Monarch School for students impacted by homelessness
