Tomorrow: Meeting #2 for the Uptown Bike Corridor Project Community Advisory Group

The design phase for the Uptown area’s bike corridors continues tomorrow evening.

The meeting details are as follows:

February 6, 2013
6 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
Santa Fe Room, Balboa Park Club
2144 Pan American Road West
San Diego, CA 92101

According to SANDAG,

the Community Advisory Group will meet to provide input to the SANDAG design team at each stage of the design phase – kick off, existing conditions analysis, alternative design analysis, and preferred design. These Advisory Group meetings are open to all community members. Throughout the design phase, Advisory Group members will help disseminate information and collect input from their representative organizations and other community members.

The meeting is open to the public and anyone who traverses the Uptown area indicated in the map below:

None of the routes colored above are set in stone, but SANDAG is willing and open to hearing ideas to transforming this region into a truly bike friendly paradise. As this is part of the ten year early action project, we could be riding along these corridors with some cool new and innovative bicycle facilities in under ten years. So if you’ve got some wild and crazy ideas to transforming the Uptown area – this is the venue to come and talk about them.

San Diego’s Uptown News had a good writeup about the first meeting.
