We Bike SD
Bike Pittsburgh has a great campaign to showcase how all kinds of different people ride bicycles. I love this campaign. It looks good and the messaging is great.
I want to echo the spirit of Bike Pittsburgh I'm going to be stopping people I see biking in San Diego and asking them if I can take their photo with their bike. I'm calling this project "We Bike SD".
I'll also ask them a few simple questions:
- What's your name?
- Where do you live (neighborhood / city)?
- Why do you bike?
- What do you do?
I'll be compiling the photos and responses to present a wide view of who bikes in San Diego. If you ride, I hope you'll be included. If you don't, I hope you'll consider biking. For those that never have or will bike, I hope this helps to show that 'bicyclists' are simply people - San Diegans of all sizes, stripes, and statures.
All kinds of people bike in San Diego. Meet some of them here.
