Know your rights; what to do if you get hit while riding?

Last weekend, Paul (Tall Paul) Kroeger, Master Mechanic at Hi-Tech Bikes was struck by a vehicle while riding his bike near Fashion Valley Mall. According to UT-San Diego, Kroeger was hit by a driver driving the wrong way. There has been no update on whether the driver has been charged. Kroeger sustained multiple breaks to his face, 3 broken ribs, fractured scapula, and a dislocated shoulder. He also has a bleed in his brain that is being monitored while he is at the hospital. Kroeger has had emergency reconstructive surgery on his face on Monday.

Friends and family have set up an online fundraiser to pay for his medical expenses. If you can, please donate today.

However, this sort of collisions happen too often. So you may be wondering…what are your rights if you are struck by a vehicle? What can you do after being struck? What steps can you take to protect yourself?

Join us next Wednesday to listen to attorney Luis Osuna talk about the legal rights you have and the proactive steps you can take to protect yourself before you get struck by a vehicle, and what you can do if you’re unlucky and do get struck by a vehicle. Details below. RSVP: Here
