Transportation is an issue for everyone, but the cost of owning a car or scraping together bus fare can be inconceivable for many in San Diego. Bicycle ownership improves the lives of all residents because a bicycle is a machine that asserts dignity. To help ensure that our San Diego community has functional bicycles to get around town, BikeSD will hold a free bicycle clinic regularly during the year. Volunteer mechanics will provide tune-ups and minor repairs. This outreach project is a collaboration with the SDSU Bike Stand, Bikes Del Pueblo and Gears4Growth. To donate tubes, break pads, cables, or your time, email our volunteer Community Engagement and Advocacy Coordinator, Kate Crouthamel.
